About Theater Eleven
What can I say? Films are freaking awesome. That's why I'm living in Los Angeles - to make them. Even Socrates said that when story dies a society becomes decadent.
On my first union feature as an Editorial PA, the post super gave me a compliment that to this day holds the top place in my book. On a card featuring Humphrey Bogart, she wrote "Everyone comes to Hollywood for different reasons and in different ways. But you came for a love of movies, and it shows."
The privilege to pursue a passion for film continues to be an amazing experience, and something for which I thank God. I can't imagine myself anywhere else on the planet. Filmmakers such as Edward Zwick and Mel Gibson continue to inspire me with masterpieces like Blood Diamond, Legends of the Fall and Braveheart.
Initially my Hollywood career began as an feature film editor. Although this was not the long term plan, I enjoyed telling the story in Avid, and learned a good deal about filmmaking in the process.
Now after three features I have embarked into the vast world of writing where the mysterious conventions of story elude the masses, spawning indie flicks where passive protagonists prod along through non-linear story motivated only by coincidence. And this while dealing with an abyss of inner conflict resulting in leaving a patient and enduring audience in the ashes of an unresolved ending, creating as much satisfaction as a single slice of stale bread.

Thank you for visiting Theater Eleven. Hold onto your hats as, God willing, you will see the name Theater Eleven on films in the very near future.
